Gulf Fishing

📅 May 10, 2026  •  📍 Gulf

The offshore bite has been great these past couple of weeks. Plenty of red grouper have been caught with some cobia and mangrove snapper mixed in. With water temperatures in the low to mid 70's, it will keep getting better out there. Inshore spring bite is still on fire as well!

Offshore

We have been running our 31' Contender out to about 90' of water and catching lots of red grouper. We are using live pilchards and mullet, and the grouper have been eager to eat. Along the way we have stopped at some of the wrecks and managed some catch and release amberjack, mangrove snapper and a few nice cobia. The permit should be showing up soon as well as some schools of blackfin tuna. We are still looking forward to June 1st, when red snapper season begins!

Inshore

Our inshore trips have been producing trout and redfish in good numbers. Catch and release snook are still putting smiles on everyone's faces and we are beginning to catch tarpon near the mouth of Tampa Bay. Spanish mackeral, ladyfish and bay grouper are all mixed in on our four and six hour trips.
